Welcome! Fast track to education, certification, and credentialing 14-week course Saturdays only Includes: EFDA certification, X-ray certification We place emphasis on the practice with the course geared to gaining experience while preparing the student for the examinations required for certification. During your course, you will become proficient in dentistry, including chairside assisting, sterilization, X-ray, endodontics (root canal therapy), restorative (fillings, crowns, and bridges), oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, periodontology (gum disease), front office, CPR, and many other areas of discipline. During your day of instruction, you will receive 2 hours of instructions followed by 6 hours of practical experience. Your instructors will be experienced dental assistants and a licensed dentist to oversee all aspects of the program. Many other courses require information that is either unnecessary or items which you will seldom use which could take up to a year or more with attendance ranging up to 5 days per week. Here you will be instructed on the things that employers are looking for most: being a good dental assistant. That requires one thing only: practice, practice, and more practice. As a licensed dentist for over 20 years, I have seen many dental assistants and know what dentists are looking for in a good employee. I have witnessed firsthand the level of competency that students in other programs obtain during lengthy and boring courses. We have removed the fat and give you only the lean. You will be certified in just 14 weeks, while attending only one day per week. You can do other things with your life the rest of the week, I.e., family, work, play. Your course with CDC will be intense, interesting, and rewarding in less than half the time other courses take, and you will have twice as much practical experience. Just think, in just one day a week for only 14 weeks you could be ready to assist chairside as a certified dental assistant. |
